Numbers are fun, especially when movies are involved. So here are the ten movies that have made the most money.

1 Avatar (2009) $2,782,275,172
Just like his earlier film, The Abyss, this movie was inspired was by a dream James Cameron had. See, even when he's sleeping he's making money.

2Titanic (1997) $2,186,772,302
James Cameron might literally be the king of the world, at least when it comes to getting butts into theater seats.

3Marvel’s The Avengers (2012) $1,518,594,910
And to think, before this movie came out the other studios thought Marvel was taking a huge risk. Now those same studios are copying Marvel, hoping to have the same kind of financial windfall. Yay for originality!

4 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011) $1,341,511,219
I'm still trying to make time to join a Quidditch team. Flying brooms are just so expensive to maintain...

5Frozen $1,259,104,377 (2013)
Disney had been trying to making this movie since 1943. Sometimes it takes awhile to make a good film.

6Iron Man 3 (2013) $1,215,439,994
Marvel's gonna keep on printing money and they deserve it.

7 Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) $1,123,794,079
Hollywood secret: orange and blue mix to make green ?

8The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)  $1,119,929,521
It's also the only fantasy film to win the Oscar for Best Picture. Good work Mr. Jackson.

9 Skyfall (2012) $1,108,561,013
I think that Daniel Craig is by far the best James Bond so far. And the box office seems to agree with me on this.

10 The Dark Knight Rises (2012) $1,084,439,099
This film is responsible for the single funniest thing on YouTube:

I hope you learned a little something from this.
